Briefly describe your experience as a volunteer.
I had the pleasure to participate as a volunteer in the Job Shadowing Day 2022 during which my team and I were excited to welcome a student into our group, show him our daily work, and involve him in tangible tasks.

What did you get out of this experience?
Navigating school while deciding what to do with your future can be challenging for many students. This is why UBS is keen to support young talents as of day one through a multitude of platforms, initiatives and internship opportunities.
In the same spirit, Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg aims at helping them gain soft skills, develop their entrepreneurial spirit, and give the first insight into the working environment.
JEL is all about bringing the different actors, such as schools, students, and businesses, together to promote the exchange of ideas. We at UBS are very proud to partner with JEL to participate in this exchange!

Describe your most memorable experience or what struck you most about working with students?
What stands out about the program for me is the opportunity for students to follow employees in senior positions to not only get a first working experience but also get to know the role of managers!

What would you say to future volunteers?
Don’t hesitate to join one of JEL’s programs whenever you get the chance. It is a truly inspiring experience and so refreshing to see your business through the eyes of a young talent. I cannot wait to see what the future holds!
